What 'Alpha-Gal Friendly' means. It means we checked the product for mammal-derived ingredients: no gelatin, dairy, lanolin, mammalian collagen, leather, or wool. Vegan products are listed first wherever possible; items that are mammal-free but not fully vegan are included with a note, since insects, birds, and their derivatives (like beeswax, honey, silk, and egg) are not mammals.
What it does not mean. 'Alpha-Gal Friendly' is not a guarantee that any individual will not react. Alpha-gal sensitivity varies widely from person to person, and some people react to ingredients others tolerate — including carrageenan, which is flagged with a disclaimer wherever it appears. Always read the full ingredient list on the product you receive before using it. Manufacturers can change their formulas without notice, and the label on the product you receive governs over anything shown on this site.
Supplements. Statements about supplements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Supplements are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
